More about the workshop:
Effective volunteer literacy programs pay equal attention to all aspects of the program. Learn how to evaluate your program and develop strategies for making improvements.
The session will cover tutor and student recruitment, support, in-service, and recognition, all in the context of today’s tight funding climate. Find out how to package your program for donors and funders.
The session will also explore the roles of administrative volunteers and the value of having a board or advisory group.
This session is for program managers, administrative volunteers, board members, library Friends and those interested in starting up or improving their adult literacy program.
Presenter: Sandy Newell, President of VALF and state and national speaker on volunteer literacy and library literacy programs.
